Hello and Welcome!

I'm Joel Balsor, owner and operator of "Stockade Style Log Homes." Thank you for visiting our website. We have made available information about our business; from examples of previously completed projects, an extensive suite of log wall pricing tools and a testimonials web page where past clients have shared their experience for having chosen us to complete their projects.

Browse through our products and services, you're not going to find more affordable prices; $30 per square foot for our stockade style log home and $40 per square foot for our traditional style log home.

We have found ourselves needing to expand our business to enlarge our log yard site so we’ve decided to sell our current location. If you are in the market for a new, unique log home with plenty of acreage with the view of the Annapolis Valley check out our ad on PropertyGuys.com.

Featured Presentation

This is a 1,500 square foot octagon (eight sided) shaped three bedroom single story stockade style log home. With the finished basement this log home has a total floor area of 3,000 square feet. We've made this home available to be viewed to give our prospective clients the opportunity to get a sense of our skill, craftsmanship and imagination. This slide show has over 100 images featuring all stages from the clearing of the lot to staining of the exterior logs. Please call and make an appointment to view.

To our clients, I bring fourteen (14) years of professional log home building experience to a project. Our projects range from custom handcrafted log wall packages to basic log home maintenance (e.g. exterior staining). We are one of only a few log home companies to offer a stockade or vertical style log home. I have researched log home construction and understand what is involved to construct a strong durable, long lasting product. If you wish you can make an appointment and view our latest build. Featured in the above slide show, it's our very own home. It's a single story 1,500 square foot three (3) bedroom log home with a full basement. Expect for what you can see in the slide show, you will have to come and experience for yourself the rustic elegance of this home log. What's interesting about this log home, it just isn't beautiful it's functionable and practical all the same time.

I invite you to contact me (by making an appointment) so we can chat about your project. If you wish, you can forward me your floor plans (hand sketched is ok) and I can advise on how you can have that dream log home that best fits your need and budget. For you convenience, we have available a comprehensive suite of log wall pricing tools to help you balance your housing needs with your budget. We want to break the misconception that all log homes are expensive.

We couldn't have been more thrilled with our 2009 building season! For 2010, we've just started our first full structure build, it's a 24' X 24' stockade style log garage with a loft. We still have openings for this year so if you are interested in building in 2010 please do not delay. Do like many others have done, send an email or phone to get a price for your new log home package.
